I Am Numb
The edge of my earth has
crumbled and I’ve fallen in,
I no longer feel the pain or agony,
I am numb.
I’m numb from the worries of the world and
of my
friends,
I find the emotions of life mere trifles that I
no
longer have to experience,
I don’t know what to think anymore,
My emotions cannot be expressed.
I don’t want to hear it, I have no opinion,
The double standards of the world crawl under my
skin
and anger me,
But I keep it all in because I am numb.
I’ve grown tired and exhausted from the
times that go
by,
I hold my mask of emotions at one of one upset or
angered,
But I don’t mean it and I don’t say it,
I hold it inside with the tears I’ve not
cried.
I still want to be myself, to rise above it all,
And to distinguish myself from the world.
I want to grab all of my dreams,
And to achieve the unreachables,
And I want to do it alone.
I have grown numb to this world which I live in,
I watch the things pass me by and try to show my
concern,
But really I am numb and I have no opinion.
I’ve bottled my heart, my mind and my soul.
Someday I may come out again,
